Stabbed to death a pool player

On the afternoon of August 6, My Tho City Police, Tien Giang Province arrested Dang Thanh Dung (33 years old, residing in Hamlet 1, Trung An Commune, My Tho City) and transferred him to the Criminal Police Department (PC45) of Tien Giang Province Police to continue investigating the act of stabbing to death a billiards player.

According to initial information from the authorities, at around 8:30 a.m. on August 6, Dang Thanh Dung and a group of friends (a total of 4 people) organized a drinking party at a restaurant in Hamlet 2, Trung An Commune, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province. Among them was Nguyen Thanh Phong (43 years old, residing in Ward 6, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province).

Phong and Dung were friends who met while working together as construction workers because the two construction sites were located close to each other. At around 10am that same day, Phong and Dung played billiards at the above address.

While playing, Phong and Dung had an argument. Phong jumped in to beat Dung. Dung angrily went home to get a knife and returned to stab Phong, causing him to collapse on the tiled floor. Dung asked someone to call a taxi to take Phong to the hospital for treatment, but due to the severity of his injuries, Phong died on the way.
