Security monitors U22 Vietnam 2 months before SEA Games 29

The social order crime prevention team will soon review the records of all members of the Vietnam U22 team.

According to the assessment of Team 4, PC 45, the U22 Vietnam players participating in the 29th SEA Games are "more educated and well-behaved than their seniors". However, PC 45 is still on high alert to avoid situations where players fix scores like Van Quyen, Quoc Vuong, Huynh Quoc Anh... did when participating in the 2005 SEA Games in Bacolod, Philippines.

Security forces have been checking the records of the U22 Vietnam members for two months before the team left for Malaysia to participate in the 29th SEA Games. Those who have gambled for money or shown unusual behavior in domestic tournaments are being closely monitored, and warnings are being sent to some cases.

At the 29th SEA Games in Malaysia, Lieutenant Colonel Bui Xuan Le was a security officer closely following the U22 Vietnam team. This was the first time he accompanied the team, but this officer had a lot of experience in preventing corruption in football. In 2005, Mr. Bui Xuan Le participated in taking statements from Van Quyen and Quoc Vuong in the match-fixing case at the SEA Games held in the Philippines.

This year, U22 Vietnam is in Group B, facing Timor Leste (August 15), Cambodia (August 17), Philippines (August 20), Indonesia (August 22) and Thailand (August 24). In addition to possessing a good force, the team under coach Huu Thang is also highly appreciated for its spirit of solidarity.

"This generation of players has many people who have trained together for a long time and are very united. There is no division into factions. Previously, the Vietnamese team had problems with different groups of players not passing the ball to each other," a member of the coaching staff shared with VnExpress./.
