Congress of the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association of Nghe An province, term 2017-2022

(Baonghean.vn)-On the morning of September 9, the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association of Nghe An province held the Congress for the 2017-2022 term.

The Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association of Nghe An province was established in 1978. Up to now, the Association has attracted the active participation of nearly 100 members. In which, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital and Vinh University play a key role with many rich and effective activities, contributing to the overall achievements in people-to-people diplomacy.

The Congress discussed and approved the direction of activities, amendments and supplements of the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association of Nghe An province for the term 2017-2022.

Accordingly, the Congress identified the key task as strengthening the dissemination of policies and guidelines of the Party and State of Vietnam; promoting information about the country, people, culture and traditions of Vietnam and Poland to enhance understanding and deepen ties to contribute to developing friendship between the two countries.

In addition, the Association expands and diversifies resource exploitation programs to introduce policies to attract investment in trade, tourism, education and training, and mobilize humanitarian aid programs of Poland and the Vietnamese community in Poland.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Minh Thong, Chairman of the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association affirmed that the success of the Congress for the 2017-2022 term will create many new advantages to promote cooperation not only in the fields of health, education and training but also in other fields.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested members to actively do a good job of public diplomacy propaganda, proactively exploit information to seek new relationships and partners in Poland; Connect Nghe Kieu in Poland to promote effective friendly exchange activities; Promote the establishment of branches at Nghe An General Friendship Hospital and Vinh University.

The Congress elected 17 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association of Nghe An for the 2017-2022 term.
