Owing 600 million VND, young man was imprisoned in a hotel by gangsters

Borrowing 600 million VND but not being able to pay back, M. was kidnapped by a group of people, who pressured his family to pay the debt.

According to Tan Phu District Police, Ho Chi Minh City, this unit is investigating and taking statements from a gang involved in the case of illegal detention and confinement in a hotel to collect debt.

On September 2, the family of Nguyen Duc M (22 years old, residing in District 4) received a report that the victim was being held by a gang of gangsters in a hotel in Tan Phu District.

Determining the hotel's location on Nguyen Son Street, Phu Tho Hoa Ward, Tan Phu District, local police deployed many reconnaissance teams to rescue the young man.

This gang was controlled and taken to the police station for clarification.

The victim confessed that he borrowed 600 million VND from Ngo Tuan Anh (26 years old, living in Hanoi) and was unable to pay back, so the group of Vu Anh Tuan, Nguyen Tien Manh, Dao Manh Thang and Phung Ngoc Anh (unknown background) kidnapped him and pressured his family to pay the debt.

The police are currently conducting an extended investigation./.
