Group of young thieves smashed gold shop window and fell into the net

When the gold shop owner arrived to clear the shop, he discovered that the door had been broken into and the jewelry display cases had been smashed. The shop owner lost a total of 39 taels of silver, worth 20 million VND.

On August 12, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Team of Phu Loc District, Phu Loc District Police (Thua Thien - Hue), said that he had just arrested a group of teenagers who had just committed a theft at a gold and silver shop in the area.

The two arrested subjects were Ngo Duc Tai (18 years old) and Phan Viet Dung (14 years old), both residing in Phu Loc district.

Previously, at around 5:30 a.m. on August 4, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien (owner of Hoang Anh gold shop, Loc Bon commune) came to clean up her shop and discovered that the door had been broken into, the jewelry display cases had been smashed, and a total of 39 taels of silver, worth 20 million VND, were missing.

The two thieves confessed to selling some of the jewelry to get money to spend. On June 6, the police arrested Tai and Dung and recovered the stolen items.

Through investigation, Tai and Dung revealed that two more people, Nguyen Van Tien Vu and a young man named Dai, both living in Loc Bon commune, were on the run. The police are mobilizing the family to call for their surrender.

Previously, on July 28, this group also broke into a resident’s house in Loc Bon commune and stole a motorbike and an electric motorbike. After that, the group took them to Hue city to sell for money to spend.
