Husband stabbed wife to death and fled

Just because of a conflict in family life, Thinh used a knife to stab his wife many times, causing the victim to die later. After committing the crime, Thinh fled the scene.

On the afternoon of September 10, information from the Investigation Police Department of Gia Lai Province Police said that the unit is coordinating with relevant agencies to organize the arrest of suspect Nguyen Tan Thinh (34 years old, residing in residential group 17, Yen The ward, Pleiku city). Thinh was identified as the suspect in the death of Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Kieu (23 years old, Thinh's wife).

Initial information said that at around 6pm on September 9, Thinh and Kieu had a conflict that led to an argument. During the argument, Thinh stabbed Kieu multiple times, seriously injuring her. At this time, Kieu's younger sister, Nguyen Thi Trinh, tried to intervene but was also seriously injured by Thinh.

After committing the crime, Thinh quickly fled the scene. Ms. Kieu was taken to the emergency room by local people but died on the way to the hospital due to severe injuries. Ms. Trinh was injured in the leg and is currently being treated at the hospital.

Upon receiving the report, Pleiku City Police and Gia Lai Provincial Police Investigation Agency were present at the scene to conduct a crime scene investigation, autopsy, and organize forces to capture the suspect.

According to the autopsy results, Ms. Kieu was stabbed a total of 36 times by Thinh. The murder weapon was also found by the police in a well in the garden.

According to the victim’s family, Thinh and his wife have been married for about 3 years and have a 2-year-old child. Recently, the couple has often had conflicts.
