Do Luong District Youth Union Congress for the term 2017 - 2022

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 10, Do Luong District Youth Union held the Congress for the 2017 - 2022 term, attended by 150 delegates representing 7,567 union members in the entire district.

During the past term, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Do Luong district has done a good job of political and ideological education for young union members in many diverse forms for nearly 39 young union members; opened 180 theory training classes; built 65 Uncle Ho bookcases; and organized 280 traditional talks.

The shock, volunteer and economic development movements have been promoted. The entire district Youth Union has successfully built 81 economic models creating jobs for 400 young people. 1,000 youth projects have been implemented, attracting 50,000 young union members to participate.

Typical activities include “Repaying gratitude” and “Drinking water, remembering its source”. Over the past 5 years, the Youth Union members have helped with 860 working days, presented 38 gratitude gardens, 8,000 gifts worth 820 million VND to families with preferential policies, and given hundreds of gifts to poor students in mountainous communes with especially difficult circumstances.

There are 215 innovative experience topics at level 3 or higher. There are 278 students achieving national and provincial excellent students. Organized 2,000 village and alley cleaning sessions, participated in collecting dozens of tons of waste and pesticide containers, coordinated training and job creation for thousands of young people.

Organized training for 10,000 young union members, effectively maintained the "Youth Entrepreneurship" Club with 41 models. The Youth Union and Pioneer activities were focused on maintaining activities that attracted a large number of young union members to participate, and presented gifts to 128 children who overcame difficulties to study well. During the past term, over 1,000 union members were introduced to the Party and 6,900 outstanding youths were admitted to the Youth Union.

In the coming term, Do Luong youth will focus on doing a good job of educating young people in politics, ideology, revolutionary traditions and ethics and lifestyle; promoting the creative and pioneering role of young people, stepping up the implementation of the pioneering and creative volunteer movements, "Repaying gratitude" and "Establishing oneself and starting a career" to contribute to building Do Luong to become more and more developed.

The Congress elected 25 comrades to the Executive Committee for the 2017-2022 term and elected 13 comrades to attend the Congress of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union. On this occasion, Do Luong District Youth Union was awarded the Emulation Flag and many Certificates of Merit by the Central Youth Union, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Youth Union.
