A survey published on August 27th showed that a majority of French people are "turning their backs" on President Emmanuel Macron after three months in office.

According to the published results, 57% of respondents were dissatisfied with what Macron had done recently, a 14% increase compared to July.

Government spokesman Christophe Castaner asserted that the ruling party is facing numerous challenges and that declining public support for the president is the price to pay if the government wants to push through reforms.

"Yes, we are facing challenges, but you can't spend your whole life relying on surveys when you work for the government. We are here to change the country, and we are taking risks," Castaner said.

President Macron has undertaken a series of foreign policy activities since taking office last May. He has hosted Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump, and visited a number of European countries.

However, France's youngest president since Napoleon faces numerous challenges at home, including controversies surrounding his labor reform plans and military spending cuts.

Last week, social media was abuzz with reports that Macron had spent $30,000 in the past three months on grooming and personal grooming.

Some believe that with his current low approval ratings, Macron's opposition will take action, given that his party holds a majority in parliament.

The French president will face a major challenge next month, when the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) organizes protests against the planned reforms to labor regulations.

Taking office on May 7th with overwhelming voter support, Emmanuel Macron carries the hope of reforming the aging political system and healing a French society divided into left-right factions.

However, he is currently the French president whose approval ratings have plummeted the fastest since 1995.
