Miss My Linh will play the monochord to compete in the talent contest at Miss World

The Vietnamese beauty representative at Miss World 2017 is practicing to introduce traditional musical instruments to international friends.

My Linh has been practicing under the guidance of Dan Bau artist Hai Phuong for several months now. The beauty queen is praised for her good musical sense. Previously, when accompanying the 2017 Don Ca Tai Tu Festival, she also had the opportunity to learn about traditional folk instruments.

Sharing the reason for choosing to play the monochord in the talent competition, My Linh said: “The monochord is a special Vietnamese musical instrument. As a person of the modern generation, when I first tried playing the monochord, I was very moved when I heard the melodious, deep sound of the instrument. I hope to complete my performance well, so that my friends around the world can understand more about the beauty of Vietnamese culture.”

In addition to learning to play the piano, My Linh is also improving her foreign language skills, working out, and practicing other soft skills before leaving for China to compete in early November.

Currently, the Vietnamese representative at Miss World 2017 ranks third in online audience votes. The person who tops the vote will havechance to be among the 40 contestants of the final night, and win the secondary award "Media Beauty".

Do My Linh was born in 1996 and is a student at the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi. She is 1.71 m tall, weighs 52 kg, and has body measurements of 87-61-94 cm. After being crowned Miss Vietnam 2016, she has been the face of many charity, community and brand activities. She also works as an MC for several TV shows to hone her communication skills.
