A married couple were killed or injured on their way home from the market.

(Baonghean.vn) - On their way home from the market, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tu and his wife (residents of Minh Son commune, Do Luong district) were unfortunately hit by a truck. Mr. Tu died on the spot, and his wife was seriously injured.

On the morning of September 13th, Mr. Dao Anh Tuan, Head of the Minh Son Commune Police (Do Luong District), reported that two residents of the commune had been involved in a serious traffic accident. The victims were Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tu (born in 1948, residing in Long Minh hamlet) and his wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Quat (born in 1948).

At around 8:30 a.m., Mr. and Mrs. Tu were riding their electric bicycle home from the market. When they reached the intersection with the N5 road, at the border between Hamlet 13, Tan Son Commune and Hamlet 8, Minh Son Commune, they were hit by a truck.

According to Mr. Tuan, the truck with license plate 37R01430 was driven by Cao Cu Phu (born in 1986, residing in Dien Tho commune, Dien Chau district). "Observing the scene, at that time Mr. and Mrs. Tu had moved to the right side of the road, but it is likely that the truck driver was speeding and lost control of the steering wheel," Mr. Tuan said.

Following the powerful collision, Mr. Tu died on the spot, while Mrs. Quat suffered a broken neck. Mrs. Quat was taken to the hospital by her relatives for emergency treatment.

Upon receiving the information, the police of Tan Son and Minh Son communes, in coordination with the Do Luong district police, arrived to secure the scene and investigate the cause of the accident.
