According to the Prime Minister's decision on the establishment of the Steering Committee for innovation and development of collective economy and cooperatives, one of the three Deputy Heads of the Committee is the Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance - Mr. Vo Kim Cu.

At the conference of the Steering Committee for the development of collective economy and cooperatives, the leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment announced the Prime Minister's decision to establish the Steering Committee for innovation and development of collective economy and cooperatives.

Accordingly, the Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of Collective and Cooperative Economy (Steering Committee) is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue.

The three Deputy Heads of the Board include the Minister of Planning and Investment, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

The current President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance is Mr. Vo Kim Cu.

Therefore, Mr. Cu is the Deputy Head of the Steering Committee even though he was just dismissed from the position of Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2005-2010 and 2010-2015 terms by the Secretariat.There are many violations related to the Formosa incident that polluted the central sea.

The duties and powers of the Steering Committee include researching and proposing to the Prime Minister policies and strategic solutions to innovate and develop the collective economy and cooperatives...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dang Huy Dong - Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment - said that up to now, the whole country has 19,570 cooperatives, attracting over 6.3 million members.

Of which, the number of agricultural cooperatives accounts for the majority with 10,762; there are 4,328 cooperatives operating in the fields of industry - handicrafts, trade, services...

The operation of cooperatives in general is increasingly stable and tends to develop. Specifically, the average revenue of cooperatives reaches over 3 billion VND/unit.

The average income of a regular worker in the cooperative is 31.3 million VND/person/year, an increase of 8.5 million VND compared to 2013.
