The Central Economic Committee supports people in areas affected by Typhoon No. 10.

The Central Economic Committee has called on all officials, civil servants, and employees to contribute at least one day's salary to support people in the central provinces affected by natural disasters.

On the morning of September 19th, the Central Economic Committee held a ceremony to launch a campaign to support people in the central provinces in overcoming the damage caused by Typhoon No. 10.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Van Binh - Head of the Central Economic Committee, Mr. Dinh La Thang - Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee, and all officials, civil servants, and employees of the Committee.

In the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," the Central Economic Committee has called on all officials, civil servants, and employees to contribute at least one day's salary to help support people in the central provinces overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

On September 15th, Typhoon No. 10 made landfall in Central Vietnam with winds reaching level 12 and gusts up to level 15, causing severe damage to coastal provinces in Central Vietnam, especially in the storm's epicenter from Ha Tinh to Quang Binh.

According to the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, as of now, Typhoon No. 10 has caused 6 deaths, 37 injuries, and destroyed, damaged, or flooded more than 190,000 houses. Many public works, offices, and schools have also suffered severe damage.

The storm also caused damage to transportation infrastructure, local power and water supply networks, and many irrigation works, resulting in severe losses to agricultural and livestock production.
