3 brothers prosecuted for plan to confess to murder instead of being exposed

On the morning of August 18, the Criminal Police Department (PC45) of the Provincial Police announced that the Provincial Police Investigation Agency had just changed the decision to prosecute Nguyen Doan Lan (born in 1985, residing in Hamlet 3A, Hung Yen Bac Commune, Hung Nguyen District) from the crime of "Murder" to the crime of "Concealing a criminal". At the same time, the decision to prosecute the case of concealing a criminal was merged into the murder case.

The provincial police investigation agency also prosecuted and detained Nguyen Doan Khai (born in 1998, Lan's younger brother) for the crime of "Murder". Nguyen Dinh Hai (Lan's cousin) was also prosecuted and detained for the crime of "Concealing a criminal".

Reason for changing the decision to prosecute the accusedLan is because although she knew her younger brother was the one who directly caused the death of Nguyen Tu Hung (born in 1984, residing in hamlet 3A, Hung Yen Bac commune, Hung Nguyen), Lan concealed the crime. On the contrary, Lan also created fake evidence and false statements to take the blame on behalf of her younger brother.

Nguyen Dinh Hai, although he knew Khai was the one who stabbed Hung to death, did not report it and even covered up Khai's crime, so he was also arrested.

Earlier, on the night of July 31, many people present at the cultural house of hamlet 3A were surprised to hear the screams of Mr. Nguyen Tu Hung outside the gate. Everyone ran out and saw Mr. Hung lying in a pool of blood, dead with a stab wound to his chest.

That same night, Hung Nguyen District Police coordinated with the provincial police departments to investigate and track down the perpetrator of the murder. Just 2 hours later, the police arrested Nguyen Doan Lan at his home.

At the police station, Lan admitted that she was the one who caused the death of Nguyen Tu Hung. From Lan's testimony, the police confiscated 2 knives, one of which was covered in blood.

However, through many professional measures, the police have enough evidence to prove that the person who caused Hung's death was not Nguyen Doan Lan but Nguyen Doan Khai. Even though, at the time Hung was stabbed, both Lan and Khai were present.

After collecting sufficient evidence, the provincial police investigation agency urgently arrested Khai for murder.

At the police station, Khai confessed that he was angry because Hung cursed him at the cultural house, so he went home, took a sharp knife and went to the cultural house to stab Hung. At that time, Lan was also present and witnessed the incident. After that, the two brothers rode their motorbike home to tell their father, Mr. Nguyen Doan Vinh, about the incident. Here, everyone discussed and agreed to let Lan take the blame for Khai.
