Neymar compares Barca President to a clown

The Brazilian striker reacted on social media after being criticized by Barca President Josep Bartomeu.

"This president is a clown," Neymar wrote on Instagram on September 5 when commenting on Bartomeu.

Neymar's comments were aimed at a statement Bartomeu made the day before. The current Barca president defended losing the Brazilian star to PSG by stating: "We made a mistake by trusting Neymar and his father too much."

Neymar left Barca in early August, on a permanent transfer. PSG agreed to pay a record $263 million to break the Brazilian striker's contract with Barca.

After Neymar left, Barca has not had any additions to satisfy the fans. The team under president Bartomeu only bought four new players including Deulofeu, Semedo, Paulinho and Dembele, while star Coutinho was retained by Liverpool.

Due to Barca’s lack of players, fans are constantly criticizing the management. In defense, the club’s two transfer chiefs, Albert Soler and Robert Fernandez, have had to cite the reason that other teams are asking too high prices when trying to buy players.
