On the afternoon of September 14, Nghe An Department of Health established two working groups to inspect storm prevention work No. 10 in five coastal districts and towns: Cua Lo town, Nghi Loc district, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai town.
At medical units, the two delegations focused on inspecting the activities of the Flood and Storm Prevention Command Committee; the readiness of mobile surgical teams, emergency transport teams and epidemic prevention teams; checking chemical spraying equipment, cars, generators, life jackets... minor surgery equipment, emergency medicine as well as Cloramin B.

The two working groups highly appreciated the preparation of medicines, chemicals, medical supplies, and necessary equipment for flood and storm prevention by medical units: Quynh Luu General Hospital, Quynh Luu Medical Center, Hoang Mai Medical Center, Quynh Phuong Ward Medical Station, Dien Chau General Hospital, Dien Thinh Commune Medical Station, Nghi Loc General Hospital, Rehabilitation Hospital, and Cua Lo Medical Center.
Leaders of Nghe An Department of Health noted: Medical units need to focus on implementing plan 4 on-site; proactively evacuate patients; assign sufficient human resources to ensure 24/7 duty; and do a good job of securing and protecting the unit's assets.

In particular, it is necessary to ensure smooth information, update and fully report the situation to the Department of Health; be ready to perform tasks to support other units, according to the dispatch of the Department of Health in case of emergency.
To proactively prevent storm No. 10, on September 13, the Department of Health sent a dispatch to all medical units in the province requesting directors of public and non-public medical facilities to fully implement the 2017 storm and flood prevention and search and rescue plan of the health sector and the unit./.
