Huong Tram: 'I can't be at ease if I live a carefree life like before'

Huong Tram hopes that the audience will focus on her music instead of her personal life. She said: "I probably won't be able to have peace for the rest of my life if I continue to live like this."

Huong Tram confided that the storms she faced in the past helped her grow and also reminded her not to rest on her laurels. However, at the age of 22, Huong Tram hopes that the public will only pay attention to her music instead of her shocking statements and images in the past.

"If I stop, those who hurt me will laugh at me"

- "Em gai mua" is receiving a lot of attention. Before releasing the song, did you predict such success?

- The author Mr. Siro and I both predicted it would become a hit. In fact, with this song, Mr. Siro invested a lot of brainpower, and I also had higher and more meticulous requirements in the way the song was handled as well as the content and images of the MV.

However, the fact that the song reached the number 1 position on Zing MP3 after a few days of release, while the MV also held the top trend on YouTube, was still beyond my expectations. Perhaps God has been kind and rewarded the efforts I have put in over the past time.

- You have tried many styles, but you have been most successful with sad ballads. Is that why Huong Tram decided to return to this material?

- I think many people can sing fast and exciting music, and I have tried.

However, like their rhythm and melody, these songs were quickly forgotten by the audience. I am an introvert and only deep songs can help me express all the hidden corners of my personality.

However, singers still need to change to avoid boredom for the audience. I myself do not want to become old while world music is always changing, so for me, exploration and innovation are natural. Maybe, in the near future, I will bring many surprises to my audience.

- Besides, Huong Tram's image is also less sexy and seductive. Are you bored with this style or because it makes you criticized too much?

- I am sitting in the hot seat of The Voice Kids and I am aware of what my position requires to convince the children. It is not that I am bored with the sexy image, it is something that I am seriously building in music. However, at least, at this time, let me be a teacher to the children completely. Within the framework of the competition, I know what image I need to aim for.

- Does that mean you're afraid that your previous controversial statements and images will affect your reputation when you take on the position of judge?

- Of course I have concerns, especially from the perspective of parents. I have had rebellious statements and images in the past, but it does not affect moral issues. I always hope that the audience can clearly distinguish between the two issues.

Luckily, my worries were erased when I joined the program. Many contestants chose to join my team. And in the program, I also tried to inspire the children, first of all in terms of expertise. For those who still have questions, I hope everyone will follow what I do for the children in the program.

- Is there any other reason why you have been more quiet recently, made fewer shocking statements and mainly focused on music? Are you afraid of the storms?

- That's right, people only encounter storms when sailing out to sea. Maybe when I was young, Tram set too big a goal for myself. However, at that time, I didn't have enough courage to do it. Therefore, I thought, for now, with a small boat, I'll play on the river for fun, when I can build a big ship, I'll go out to sea.

Right now, I just want the audience to look at my music products. The more public my private life is, the more curious I am, but human curiosity is endless. I probably won’t be able to relax for the rest of my life if I continue to live like this.

- Before coming to this decision, how did you face the storms? Was there ever a time when you wanted to give up?

- When facing the storms, I give myself a lot of time to reflect, and I suddenly realize that if I stop now, wouldn't I be the loser?

Those who harmed me will laugh at me and those who judged wrongly will unconsciously think they are right. So, I wiped away my tears and decided to start over, even though it was slow and difficult, I would be more confident.

Above all, I know that thanks to those storms, I have become more mature. Therefore, if there is a storm, I will face it and resolve it thoroughly. The storms at the age of 18 also always remind me not to rest on my laurels.

Huong Tram continues to be praised for performing a sad ballad called "Em gai mua".

It is difficult to find a true lover.

- You just broke up with your boyfriend a few months ago. Before that, you dated and broke up with Bui Anh Tuan and Tung Phan. It seems like none of your relationships lasted long. Why is that?

- Youth likes to experience, I can't avoid that. But I grow up very fast, each time I fall in love more maturely. Only, when I feel I am truly mature, I don't want to fall in love anymore, simply because I have realized that on the career path I have to take, now is the important time to assert myself.

- However, working without a guy by your side to confide in or protect you, especially when you encounter difficulties, don't you feel lonely?

- Why not, I have to have a lover, I just don't feel like I should have one at this time. I've admitted many times that I'm a workaholic.

Furthermore, among the people I have come into contact with recently, no one has made me curious or interested in their lives.

In love, it is difficult to maintain a relationship if both parties have just met and clearly understand whether the other person has any calculations or wants from them. I find it difficult to find someone who comes to me sincerely without calculation and fame when I am "singer Huong Tram".

- Singing career makes Huong Tram so busy that she broke up with her lover and because of it, it is difficult for her to find someone who truly loves her. After all, do you think it is worth sacrificing so much?

- I have accepted to give up a lot of things, which means this job is worth it. Especially when I look at the great things I have brought to the audience through music.

You may consider making a lot of money a success, but in the end it only helps you or your family.

As for me, with just one song, I can get sympathy from all those who are in love, happy, even sad. Isn't that something that not everyone my age can do?

Having been involved in many scandals related to her statements and clothing issues, recently, Huong Tram has focused more on music products.

Forced to become a "savior"

- Although The Voice Kids has been broadcast, many viewers still oppose and doubt the ability of the coaching staff, including Huong Tram. How do you react to this opinion?

- There is nothing absolute in this world, I'm afraid that it is impossible to satisfy all the opinions of the audience. However, there must be doubts and worries, then when the program achieves good results, it will create an effect, right?

This year's coaching staff is too young, there will definitely be doubts, but the audience should wait and see what we can do for the kids from the next rounds. I believe the producers have their reasons for calling our names.

- What about your opinion that you are dominating and disrespecting your teammate, Tien Cookie?

- On the first day of filming, Ms. Tien was not used to speaking on television so she was a bit nervous. Although I am not an talkative person, I had to become the savior. Luckily, later on, when we talked more, we understood each other and got along well.

- There is an opinion that this year's season is not as popular as the previous one, because before that, Dong Nhi and Noo Phuoc Thinh were both big names and talkative. What do you think about this opinion?

- Everyone has their own opinion, it is true that being famous is like being a daughter-in-law to hundreds of families. That said, last year people also compared Dong Nhi and Noo Phuoc Thinh with Ho Hoai Anh and Cam Ly in terms of experience. So all comparisons are lame.

In terms of reputation, of course we are the younger generation, we cannot compare in terms of fan base or popularity with our seniors. But I am confident that each person has their own appeal.

And in my opinion, to measure the heat or attraction of each season, just looking at the judges is not right, it also depends on many factors such as the quality of the contestants or the competition of the programs.
