Inspired by her mother, the runner-up of Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2007 transformed into a Khmer girl in a unique traditional costume. When attending festivals, Tet, or going to pagodas, Khmer women often wear sarongs with beaded strings, and long-sleeved shirts woven from silk, cotton, or glitter. White or yellow patterns are popular in pagoda costumes because they evoke a festive atmosphere.
