Military Hospital 4 is building infrastructure to serve medical examination and treatment.

(Baonghean) - From a unit that initially had only simple rooms thatched with thatch, bamboo, and leaves, Military Hospital 4 has now received nearly 500 billion VND in investment to build infrastructure with two high-rise buildings and nearly 800 beds, meeting the standards of a "Hospital Park - Hospital Hotel".

To meet the healthcare needs of military personnel, civilians, and those covered by health insurance, it is necessary not only to have a sufficient and highly qualified workforce but also a comprehensive system of facilities and equipment. In recent years, Military Hospital 4 has made remarkable progress. The hospital's facilities and infrastructure are becoming increasingly spacious, green, clean, and beautiful.

Currently, the hospital has two central treatment areas in operation. The new 7-story treatment building includes departments for Outpatient Clinic, Intensive Care, Gastroenterology, Ultrasound, X-ray, Anesthesia, Surgery, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Psychiatry, etc.; the new 6-story treatment building includes departments for Cardiology, Traditional Medicine, Pharmacy, etc. Basically, the hospital is well-built, with spacious patient rooms, and enclosed restrooms and bathrooms, meeting the healthcare needs of military personnel and civilians, especially inpatients.

To effectively utilize its facilities and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for patients, the hospital has focused on training and upgrading the professional skills of its medical staff. The unit has 1 PhD holder, 2 doctors currently pursuing doctoral studies, 25 specialists (level 2), 32 doctors and pharmacists (level 1); 14 masters; 5 postgraduate pharmacists; 3 engineers; and over 250 nurses with college and intermediate-level qualifications. Many staff members from the birthplace of Military Hospital 4 have grown into highly qualified professionals, holding important positions in the military medical sector, including professors, PhDs, and directors and deputy directors of hospitals both within and outside the military.

Colonel, Doctor, and Distinguished Physician Nguyen Trung Kien - Director of the Hospital, stated: Thanks to the attention of all levels of government, the hospital has received investment to build two new, spacious, and clean treatment areas. Currently, the departments have moved to the new treatment areas, which is initially very convenient for examining and treating patients.

Along with improving professional skills and expertise, implementing the Ministry of Health's project to enhance medical ethics and the Party Committee's project to "build a hospital on par with major military hospitals" as determined in the 2015-2020 term, Military Hospital 4 always focuses on patient satisfaction; administrative procedures are quick and accurate. The hospital also provides suggestion boxes, a hotline, and builds a friendly and dedicated working environment between doctors, nurses, and patients.

Thanks to the synchronized implementation of solutions to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, despite the new treatment area only recently becoming operational, the number of patients coming for examination and inpatient treatment is very high.

Military Hospital 4 is a top-tier hospital in the Military Region, equivalent to a provincial-level hospital, in addition to its function and nhiệm vụ of receiving, treating, and ensuring the health of military personnel throughout Military Region 4. The hospital also accepts all patients with health insurance transferred from public and private multi-specialty and specialized medical facilities in the province when needed, and some medical facilities in Ha Tinh province as regulated by the Directors of the Nghe An and Ha Tinh Departments of Health. Currently, the hospital admits and treats over 80% of patients with health insurance.

During his leave, he was involved in a traffic accident. My family had to leave our home and fields to take turns caring for Kham for over 5 years at Military Hospital 4. Previously, when we were sick, we came here for treatment, but the conditions weren't as good as they are now. Now that the hospital has a spacious treatment area and the doctors and nurses are enthusiastic and attentive, we are very pleased and have confidence in the hospital's medical staff."

In the near future, the hospital will invest in building a spacious and clean canteen to serve the food and beverage needs of hospital staff and patients coming for examination and treatment.
