(Baonghean.vn) - This year, disabled and orphaned children at the 19/3 Center in Nghi Loc celebrated an early Mid-Autumn Festival filled with joy thanks to members of the Vinh City Charity Association.

Volunteers from the Vinh City Charity Association enthusiastically organized the "Loving Moon" program to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival early for 34 disabled and orphaned children being cared for at the 19/3 Center in Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province.

Participating in the program for the first time, Dang Thi Hien, a 5th-year medical student at Vinh Medical University, said that the radiant smiles on the children's faces when they received Mid-Autumn Festival gifts, played games, and sang made her and the other volunteers feel even more proud of the work they were doing.

Chị Trần Thị Thu, hiện đang công tác tại trường Y Khoa Vinh và là một trong những chủ nhiệm đứng ra tổ chức “Vầng trăng yêu thương” cho hay, chương trình được triển khai từ cách đây hơn 10 ngày. Nhờ các mạnh thường quân cũng như sự ủng hộ nhiệt tình của các bạn thành viên, chương trình đã trao 10 triệu đồng cũng như gần 20 triệu tiền quà bao gồm các nhu yếu phẩm dành tặng cho các em bé ở trung tâm.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu, currently working at Vinh Medical University and one of the organizers of the "Loving Moon" program, said that the program was launched more than 10 days ago. Thanks to generous donors and the enthusiastic support of members, the program has donated 10 million VND and nearly 20 million VND worth of gifts, including essential supplies, to the children at the Center.

Members of the Vinh City Volunteer Association took a commemorative photo with the children at the Center.

The Vinh City Volunteer Association was established during the Lunar New Year of 2017 with the aim of connecting benevolent hearts working for the community.

Currently, the association has about 150 members, mainly students and teachers from Vinh Medical University, along with other students and benefactors.

Every 2-3 months, members of the association organize gift-giving events for underprivileged children.
