In the 2016-2017 school year - the first school year, Phuong Hoang High School had 17 students attend the summer camp "Asian Youth Leadership Conference 2017" in the island nation of Singapore. Divided into 4 groups, the students participated in an English speaking competition on difficult topics such as "Economic recession", "Refugees", "Indigenous people" and "Weapons of mass destruction".
