Con Cuong invests over 400 million VND to build a large-scale field model

(Baonghean.vn) - After 3 months of implementation, the model of Applying scientific and technical advances in summer-autumn rice production with a scale of 35.68 hectares in Chi Khe commune (Con Cuong)alreadyfor superior quality results.

From the State budget according to Decree 35/ND-CP on the development of rice-growing land in the district, in early 2017, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district supported 435 million VND to provide SL9 rice seeds, lime powder, fertilizers, and pesticides for 325 households in Chi Khe commune. In addition, the district has conducted technical training for people to build a large-scale model field for summer-autumn rice production.

After nearly 3 months of implementation, the above model has now yielded results, with outstanding quality, thanks to the application of scientific and technical advances, the use of superior rice varieties as well as effective fertilization and pesticide spraying.

The expected yield is about 57-60 tons/ha, an increase of more than 10 tons/ha compared to the old variety. The economic efficiency calculation for a 1-hectare unit is: Total investment cost 12,194,000 VND, total revenue 34,200,000 VND, net profit reaches 22,000,000 VND.

It is expected that in the next 10 to 15 days the above area will be harvested.
