The girl who jumped from a building to escape her lover who doused her with gasoline and set her on fire has died.

The woman, who was set on fire by her lover in their rented room, died after several days of emergency treatment after being admitted to the hospital with 94% burns.

On September 12th, representatives from Cho Ray Hospital in District 5 announced that Ms. Ha Gia Hue (31 years old, residing in District 11, Ho Chi Minh City), the victim who was doused with gasoline and set on fire by her lover, had died due to severe burns.

Accordingly, on September 7th, Ms. Hue was taken to Cho Ray Hospital by local residents in critical condition. The victim suffered burns to 94% of her body and respiratory burns. After several days of intensive treatment by doctors and nurses, the woman passed away.

Regarding the "Girl jumps from building to escape fire" incident, as reported by ANTĐ Online Newspaper, late on September 7th, residents around house number 161 Han Hai Nguyen Street, Ward 2, District 11, discovered thick smoke and flames rising from the first floor where Ms. Hue rented her apartment.

At that moment, people saw Ms. Hue running out of the fire onto the front balcony, calling for help. Seeing no escape route, the girl climbed over the balcony and jumped onto the retractable awning, then fell to the ground from a height of 4 meters.

Regarding the incident, the District 11 Police immediately investigated and issued an urgent arrest warrant for Ha Vu Tai (born in 1985, temporarily residing in District 5) to investigate the crime of "murder".

According to investigators, Tài and Huệ had been living together as husband and wife in the house for nearly two years. Recently, Tài frequently argued with Huệ because he suspected she had a new boyfriend.

That evening, Tài bought 4 liters of gasoline and brought it back to his rented room. After an argument, he poured the gasoline on the victim and lit a match to scare her if she intended to break up with him. In a moment of carelessness, Huệ accidentally knocked over the flame, and it engulfed her.
