The motorcyclist was Nguyen Thanh Binh (born in 1975), residing in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city. The motorbike registration is under the name of Dau Cong Danh, residing in block 13, Cua Nam ward, Vinh city.
Suspecting that the vehicle registration was fake, the task force invited Mr. Binh to the police station for questioning. Through verification, the task force determined that the license plate 37B2 - 316.37 did not belong to the Exiter motorbike Mr. Binh was driving and the vehicle registration was fake.
Nghi Loc District Police traced the frame and engine numbers and found out that the motorbike belonged to Mr. Vu Doan Thuan (born in 1989), residing in Muong Noc Commune, Que Phong District. Through investigation, Mr. Thuan said that his motorbike was stolen on April 1, 2013 at the parking lot of Nghe An General Hospital.
Continuing the investigation, Nghi Loc District Police learned that before Mr. Binh bought the motorbike, it had been owned by 4 other owners. On September 20, Nghi Loc District Police investigated and arrested Tran Van Lam, the subject who stole the Exiter motorbike that Mr. Binh was using.
At the investigation agency, Lam admitted to stealing the motorbike. He also confessed to committing 4 other motorbike thefts in Vinh City and Hanoi.
