US Army releases textbook on war with Russia

The US Army Command released a textbook on Russian tactics in conducting hybrid warfare and the US military's methods of countering it, according to The National Interest.

The textbook, titled "New Generation Russian Warfare," was published in December 2016 and is now available for download from the Internet.

This is a 68-page booklet with graphics and data on Russian military equipment. Special attention is paid to the events in Crimea and southeastern Ukraine, which are said to have involved special forces units.

The document says Russia's strategy is based on overthrowing the regime by working with local "puppet forces" and aiming to change the leadership system.

In addition, they list Russian weaknesses that the US military could exploit.
