Vietnam - Korea Technical College proactively finds jobs for students
(Baonghean) - Proactively connecting with businesses to cooperate in training and finding jobs for students after graduation is an approach that the Vietnam - Korea Technical College has implemented for many years and has brought about many practical results.
It has become a tradition that the graduation ceremony of the Vietnam - Korea Technical College is often associated with the recruitment and job introduction ceremony. This year, the graduation ceremony of the 8th College and 16th Intermediate students, school year 2014 - 2017 welcomed 11 enterprises inside and outside the province to recruit workers. This activity not only attracted a large number of final year students but also many students in their second year were excited to come and learn.
Student Le Thanh Nam said: “I study electrical engineering so my biggest wish is to work in units in the province. I think that having businesses come to recruit directly at the school is very convenient for students, helping us have many opportunities to choose from reputable units with real job needs.”

The process of connecting companies and businesses to the school to recruit workers is carried out many times a year, the peak is when the classes start to graduate. In 2017 alone, out of 800 graduates, more than 300 students were recruited right during their internship at the business.
Attending the graduation ceremony of his son Nguyen Tat Hoang, Mr. Nguyen Tat Luu (Hung Tien commune - Nam Dan) happily shared: When my son decided to study at the Vietnam - Korea Technical College, I was very hesitant because my family wanted him to go to university. But now I am reassured, because before he graduated, he was accepted to work at Samsung Electronics Company with a stable income.
Along with Mr. Luu, today, many parents went to receive their children's graduation certificates because most of the students stayed at the companies after the internship to get official jobs. Previously, from September 2016 to May 2017, the school organized for all students to do graduation internships at companies such as Hung Thinh, Formosa Ha Tinh, Hong Hai Group, Samsung Vietnam Group, etc. After the internship, the companies paid the students' salaries and supported the school with nearly 8 billion VND.
On the business side, many units also put their trust in this cooperation signing program. Mr. Nguyen Nhu Truong, in charge of the Administrative Organization Department of Catalan Joint Stock Company (Bac Ninh) said: “Our company specializes in producing high-end tiles and currently 100% of the production lines are automated, including closely related industries such as electricity and electrical automation. To meet the human resource needs of the company, we have cooperated with the Vietnam - Korea Technical College for 4 years and recruit 70 - 80 students from the school each year. Objectively, we have confidence in the school's students and they have two outstanding advantages compared to students from other schools, which is being equipped with very good professional knowledge. The second thing is that they have a very high sense of discipline. In addition to theory, students at the school are also very well equipped with systematic practice. Therefore, after graduating, they can immediately catch up with jobs related to engineering and electricity and we almost do not have to retrain them.”
In addition to enterprises outside the province, the school also regularly cooperates with enterprises in the province in labor supply. Sharing about the 10-year process of cooperation with the school, Mr. Tran Dac Thang - Technical Director of Hong Ha Trading Joint Stock Company affirmed: The graduates of the school are always evaluated for their professional skills and especially their ethics and professional style. We ourselves regularly follow the school's training work and always have opinions to make the training work closer to practical needs, focusing on skills such as foreign languages, life skills, communication skills and some other soft skills...
In parallel with finding opportunities for students, the Vietnam - Korea Technical College also cooperates with many enterprises to train according to orders, train to improve skills for the technical workforce of enterprises, test vocational skills, and test to upgrade the level of workers in enterprises. At the same time, enterprises will also support and receive students of the school to do internships, participate in developing training programs; receive teachers to improve their skills or create conditions for experts of enterprises to teach and transfer technology at the school. In particular, many enterprises also regularly grant scholarships to talented students, poor students who overcome difficulties, or sponsor scientific research programs, seminars...
Most recently, Hong Hai Group has signed a memorandum of understanding on training cooperation with the school. In particular, the Group will create conditions for second-year students to enter the third year of Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Electronics, and Information Technology majors, supporting 100% of the third-year tuition fees for admitted students, while the school will be responsible for training staff for the group. The school also cooperates with Formosa Ha Tinh Iron and Steel Corporation to select second-year students for a one-month internship at the factory. After graduation, they will work as technicians at the company. Selected students will have their tuition fees for the third year paid by the company. In particular, the school cooperates with the Korean Refrigeration and Electrical Engineering Company to send second-year students to Korea for a three-month internship. After graduation, the Korean company will accept them back to work if the students meet the company's requirements. With this program, it is expected that in 2017, about 20 students will be sent to Korea for internship.
