Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga will become a lecturer at Danang University.

The Prime Minister has just signed a decision to extend Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga's working time to teach and conduct scientific research.

According to Decision No. 1448/QD-TTg, after reaching the age limit for management work at the end of November, from December 1, 2017, Mr. Bui Van Ga will teach and conduct scientific research at Danang University.

Mr. Bui Van Ga was born in 1957, in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province. He was one of the first students to pass the baccalaureate exam after liberation, a student of the first course of Da Nang University of Technology. In 1980, he graduated from university, became a mechanical engineer and was retained at the school as a lecturer.

In 1985, Mr. Ga was admitted to the University of Lyon, France for a doctorate in engineering. After receiving his doctorate in 1989, he returned to Vietnam and worked as deputy head and then head of the school's Science Management Department. In 1991, he went to France to do a doctorate in science, majoring in heat engines, and completed it in 1994 and returned to Vietnam. In 2002, he was recognized as a professor.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga was a lecturer at Da Nang University of Technology, former Head of International Relations Department of Da Nang University, former Principal of College of Technology - Da Nang University.

From 2004-2006, he held the position of Principal of Danang University of Technology and was Director of Danang University from 2006 to October 2010.

The extension of Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga's working time is based on Decree 141. Accordingly, lecturers who are old enough to retire, lecturers with the title of professor, associate professor and lecturers with a doctorate degree working at a higher education institution can have their working time extended if they are healthy and volunteer, and the school has a need and approves. The extension period shall not exceed 10 years for those with a professorial degree.
