Nghe An Youth built a house of gratitude for former youth volunteers
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 27, the Youth Volunteer Force (LLTNXP) of Nghe An province started building a gratitude house for former Youth Volunteers in Hamlet 5, Nghi Tan Ward, Cua Lo Town.
Attending the event were comrade Duong Hoang Vu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, and youth union members of Cua Lo town. This is an activity to welcome the 17th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2017-2022, towards welcoming the 11th National Youth Union Congress.

Ms. Pham Thi Viet joined the Youth Volunteers in the 1970s on the battlefield in Laos. Currently, her family is in a particularly difficult situation: her husband and two sons have died due to the effects of Agent Orange; her four daughters work as garment workers far away, Ms. Viet lives alone in a 40m2 house.2The tiled roof has seriously deteriorated, it leaks frequently, the plaster walls have rotted, and the kitchen is made temporarily.

At the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Duong Hoang Vu expressed the deep gratitude of the young generation to the former Youth Volunteer Force who contributed to bringing a peaceful life to the next generation.
The construction and donation of gratitude houses to former Youth Volunteers not only solves the housing difficulties for families under the policy but also has great humanitarian significance, it is a responsibility, a specific practical action of the movement to repay gratitude, remember the source of drinking water; at the same time, it also shows the gratitude of the younger generation, of the Youth Union members for the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations.

The house was renovated with a total value of 30 million VND supported by the Nghe An Youth Volunteer Force. The project is expected to be implemented from September 27 to October 6 with the support of cadres and team members of the entire Nghe An Youth Volunteer Force and union members and youth of Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town./.
