Coach Kiatisuk's wisdom in refusing to lead the Vietnam national team
Kiatisuk’s refusal to lead the Vietnamese team when asked was a wise decision by “Thai Zico”. This decision also helped all parties involved avoid awkward situations.
In addition to the familiar diplomatic statement: "I cannot lead another team to fight against the Thai team", Kiatisuk also clarified the reason why he refused offers to take charge of national teams in the region, including the Vietnamese team, that he still has 2 more certificates, to be able to have a FIFA professional coach's license (a license that allows a coach to take charge of any national team in the world).
In addition to the time needed to complete the above mentioned course, there is an issue that was not mentioned by “Thai Zico”, but many people can understand, that is, the number 1 idol of Thai football cannot accept a low salary, while he still has many attractive offers from all over Southeast Asia.
Currently, at least two rich teams are interested in Kiatisuk, which are Persid Bandung (Indonesia) and Muangthong United (Thailand). As for Muangthong United, they want to get Kiatisuk's signature in case the current coach Tawan Sripan leaves his position at the end of this season, in the context that a series of Muangthong's best players were once the favorite students of "Thai Zico".

Even if Kiatisuk does not want to be a top football coach at the moment, he can still find jobs with attractive incomes.
Former Premier League champions Leicester City, whose owner is a Thai, are ready to invite Kiatisuk to be their brand ambassador for the Southeast Asian and Asian markets.
The reason Kiatisuk received so many attractive offers is because he himself is still a big brand, with high promotion power in Thailand in particular and in Southeast Asia in general, and can still help the places that hire him to work get good advertising contracts.
Kiatisuk of course understands his own value, so it is unlikely that "Thai Zico" would accept working at a place that pays him a lower salary than the salary he received when he was in charge of the Thai national team (1.4 billion VND/month for Kiatisuk and his assistants).
Kiatisuk's tactful refusal also helped Vietnamese football to be less embarrassed, because Vietnamese football could hardly pay a high salary to "Thai Zico" at the above mentioned 1.4 billion VND/month.
Kiatisuk's early refusal to take the position of coach of the Vietnamese national football team also helps the VFF to focus on other foreign candidates, without having to bear more pressure from public opinion, with many emotional opinions wanting to see Kiatisuk as coach of the Vietnamese national football team.
And as mentioned, in terms of expertise, Kiatisuk is not necessarily a good choice to raise the level of the Vietnamese team, so the fact that "Thai Zico" refused from the beginning the possibility of becoming the team coach is also a good thing, helping Vietnamese football avoid a possible futile adventure.
