Mazda announces official price of CX-5 2017 in Malaysia

Mazda has just officially announced the new price list for CX-5 2017. It is known that the number of versions remains unchanged but has more attractive prices.

According to available information, Mazda CX-5 will still keep 5 versions: 2.0G 2WD GL, 2.0G 2WD GLS, 2.5D 2WD GLS, 2.2D 2WD GLS and 2.2D AWD GLS. Each 2017 CX-5 model sold will come with a standard 5-year/100,000km warranty and a free maintenance package within 3 years/60,000km.

With the 2.0G 2WD line, Mazda offers customers two options – GL and GLS. These two versions have prices excluding insurance of RM 134,205 (equivalent to VND 730 million) and RM 148,205 (equivalent to VND 806 million) respectively.

Both the GL and GLS are equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder SkyActiv-G petrol engine that produces a maximum capacity of 162 horsepower and a maximum torque of 210 Nm. The car has front-wheel drive through a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission.

Moving up the range, Mazda offers the CX-5 with the highest petrol engine 2.5G 2WD GLS at RM 160,596. While the powertrain is similar to the two standard petrol versions, this variant has more power with a 2.5L 4-cylinder SkyActiv-G engine, 192 horsepower and 257 Nm of maximum torque.

For the diesel engine line, the car is equipped with a 2.2L SkyActiv-D engine with a maximum power of 173 horsepower and maximum torque of 420 Nm.

To meet different needs, Mazda offers customers a single and premium version - 2.2D AWD GLS - with a full-time 4-wheel drive system. In terms of price, the standard 2.2D 2WD GLS is sold at RM 164,179.10 (equivalent to VND 893 million) and the premium variant 2.2D AWD GLS is priced at RM 174,779 (equivalent to VND 950 million).

The above prices are only applicable to cars with regular paint colors. To own a silver paint, buyers will pay an additional fee of RM400 (equivalent to VND2.2 million). However, for Mazda's signature premium metallic paint colors such as Soul Red Crystal, Machine Grey and Snowflake Pearl White, the additional fee will fluctuate around RM2,000 (equivalent to VND10.9 million).

In addition, Mazda also introduced other advanced options exclusively for the standard 2.0G 2WD GL version such as a navigation system (RM1,270 - about VND6.9 million) and leather seats (RM2,900 - about VND15.8 million)./.
