On the afternoon of September 29, the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) announced that the suspect who used a gun to rob a bank in Vinh Long two days ago committed suicide. His body was found with a wound on his head.

"The suspect is a soldier serving in Vinh Long. The case will be handed over to the military region's investigation force to continue investigating the case," the source said.

Three days ago, a man wearing a helmet, masked, and holding a gun stormed into a bank branch in Hoa Phu Industrial Park (Hoa Phu Commune, Long Ho District), overpowered the security guard and a group of employees, and demanded that they collect money and put it in a bag.

After taking the bag of money, the robber got on an Air Blade motorbike without a license plate and escaped. The entire robbery took place in about 3 minutes. According to statistics, the bank was robbed of 207 million VND.
