Dien Chau mobilizes forces to clear sea dike corridor

(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, 6 communes with sea dikes in Dien Chau are taking action to clear illegal constructions in the dike protection corridor.

Dien Hai and Dien Trung are two key communes with up to 41 households building shops, garages, and temporary livestock houses in the dike corridor, building surrounding walls, gate pillars encroaching on the dike roof, burying electric poles on the dike roof, and building concrete mounds across the dike surface, both violating the dike corridor and harming irrigation works.

Accordingly, on September 28 and 29, these two communes urgently launched a campaign to clear all violations of the dike body and within a 5m radius from the foot of the dike. In Dien Trung, 5 houses, 30 electric poles, 9 concrete piles and more than 10 trees were removed.

In Dien Hai, 36 households with tents, shops and constructions violating the dike corridor are also being dismantled. Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, all households have complied with the demolition. According to the plan, in October, Dien Chau will complete the demolition of violations of the dike corridor on the entire 25km of sea dike in 6 communes.

In order to prevent re-encroachment of the dike corridor, the communes have organized the signing of commitments not to violate the dike corridor for households living along the dike, and at the same time assigned officers to be in charge of each area, regularly inspect, detect and promptly handle cases of re-violation./.
