Leaders of Nghe An - Thanh Hoa meet to discuss promoting comprehensive cooperation
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 30, in Thanh Hoa province, leaders of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces held a conference on socio-economic cooperation, national defense and security.

Regarding cooperation between the two provinces, in recent years, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa have coordinated well and achieved many important results in ensuring national defense, security, search and rescue, responding to natural disasters, incidents, the environment, and promoting socio-economic development.
The leaders of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces agreed to continue promoting the achieved results, strengthening cooperation in many fields for mutual development; including effectively implementing the contents approved by the Prime Minister to adjust the Construction Planning of the Nam Thanh - Bac Nghe region to 2025 and vision after 2025; increasing investment attraction to develop the economy of the Nam Thanh - Bac Nghe region, facilitating the transportation of goods through Nghi Son port area.
Attending the meeting, on the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; Cua Lo town, Nghi Loc district. On the side of Thanh Hoa province, there were comrades: Trinh Van Chien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Do Trong Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; The conference was attended by FLC Group leaders including Mr. Trinh Van Quyet - Chairman of the Board of Directors and Ms. Huong Tran Kieu Dung - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Le Thanh Vinh - General Director. |
The two sides also agreed that when implementing projects in border areas, environmentally sensitive areas... projects that discharge wastewater upstream related to the two provinces will coordinate to consult the authorities of both sides to resolve the issue; strengthen cooperation in tourism development...
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong congratulated Thanh Hoa province on its outstanding results in socio-economic development, especially the economic growth rate and highly effective investment attraction; the restructuring process of the agricultural sector has achieved many outstanding results through attracting businesses to invest in this field and applying science and technology to production.
Looking back at the cooperation results between the two provinces, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong highly appreciated the cooperation between the two provinces and neighboring localities in ensuring social order and safety, handling environmental issues...
In the coming time, the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee hopes that Thanh Hoa province will create favorable conditions, pay attention, and especially support the handling of arising issues, and promptly inform each other to resolve them, in order to ensure security and environment for all parties. Nghe An province will also pay close attention to directing the cooperation contents.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also hopes that Thanh Hoa province will share its experience in attracting investment in various fields and cooperating in tourism development.
Speaking at the meeting, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh thanked the leaders of Thanh Hoa province for welcoming the provincial delegation attentively and respectfully.
Emphasizing that the two provinces have a good traditional relationship, in that spirit, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh suggested that Nghe An and Thanh Hoa continue to coordinate and maintain a regular dialogue mechanism to resolve arising issues and strengthen cooperation for mutual development.
Highly appreciating the results in Thanh Hoa's socio-economic development, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh hopes that in the spirit of being two large-area, populous, neighboring provinces with a long-standing tradition of cooperation, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa will continue to strengthen cooperation to ensure political stability and help each other develop.
On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Xuan Duong reaffirmed the spirit of creating favorable conditions for FLC Group to invest in Nghe An, contributing to creating a tourism connection chain between Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.

Speaking at the meeting, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Van Chien emphasized the long-standing traditional relationship between Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces.
Regarding the proposed cooperation contents, comrade Trinh Van Chien suggested that the two provinces continue to discuss and coordinate to promote the strengths of each locality and develop together; especially in investment attraction, the two provinces should coordinate and introduce partners to each other based on the advantages and strengths of each province.
The Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee also requested the Party committees of the two provinces, People's Councils, departments and branches of the two provinces to strengthen coordination and exchange with each other so that Nghe An's cooperation relationship is comprehensive and synchronous in all fields...
At the conference, the two localities informed each other about the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of the year. Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien said: The growth rate is higher than in recent years, in 9 months, the total product in the province (GRDP) increased by 7.61%; the total budget revenue in the first 9 months of the year of the province is estimated at nearly 8,552 billion VND.

The province has 157 communes that have completed 19/19 criteria for new rural construction. As of September 16, the province has granted new licenses to 116 projects with a total registered capital of nearly VND12,676 billion; and adjusted capital increases for 14 projects with more than VND303 billion.
Standing Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Quyen said that the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at 8.04%. Thanh Hoa also has 1 district, 180 communes, 386 villages and hamlets recognized as meeting new rural standards; in the first 9 months of the year, the province has approved investment policies for 164 projects with a total registered investment capital of over 27,000 billion VND and over 3 billion USD./.
