Golden Ball 2016 was called up to the Vietnam national team

Along with Nguyen Huu Dung, Binh Duong striker Nguyen Anh Duc was called up by coach Mai Duc Chung to prepare for the match against Cambodia on October 10.

Anh Duc won the Golden Ball in 2016 and has always maintained good form in Binh Duong. This season, the captain of Binh Duong continues to score regularly. After 20 roundsin V-League, he has scored 10 goals, becoming the domestic player with the most goals. That is why the interim coach of the Vietnam team, Mai Duc Chung, decided to call him up despite having Cong Phuong, Van Quyet, Ha Duc Chinh, Mac Hong Quan and Ngan Van Dai.

Nguyen Huu Dung of Thanh Hoa is the other player added. This midfielder is a favorite student of coach Toshiya Miura, and was the captain of the U23 Vietnam team. In this season's V-League, Huu Dung rarely played.

The Vietnamese team will gather in Hanoi tomorrow, October 3. Players from Da Nang, SLNA, Quang Nam and Binh Duong clubs will gather on October 7, after playing the second leg of the National Cup semi-finals on October 6.

Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will host Cambodia at 7pm on October 10 at My Dinh Stadium. In the first leg, Vietnam won 2-1 thanks to goals from Van Quyet and Quang Hai.
