One of the issues that many voters expressed at the voter contact conference was the work of preventing and combating corruption. Voter Hoang Thi, Block 3, Quan Hanh town, commented: Currently, the work of preventing and combating corruption of the Party and the State is very drastic, creating people's trust in the Party and the government.
However, this voter believes that the Central Government is taking strong action but the lower levels are not resolute in fighting corruption. "Along with fighting corruption in major violations, the issue that people are concerned about is dealing with "petty corrupt" officials to clean up the government apparatus at all levels," said Mr. Thi.
"The National Assembly needs to put the Law on Anti-Corruption at the forefront. Anti-corruption work needs to be more drastic, all levels need to take part in a synchronous manner in the fight against corruption and negativity; strictly handle violators, and recover lost assets" - Mr. Thi suggested.
