Kim Jong-Nam suffered multiple injuries after being attacked

(Baonghean.vn)- On October 3, the head of the Malaysian Ministry of Health's Forensic Medicine Department, Mr. Mohamad Shah Mahmood, stated that the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Mr. Kim Jong Nam, suffered multiple injuries after being attacked with a nerve agent.

According to witness Mohamad’s testimony at the trial of the two female defendants at the Sham Alam High Court, the victim Kim’s vital organs, including her lungs and brain, were swollen due to excess fluid accumulation. Mohamad was the one who conducted the autopsy on the victim Kim.

On the second day of the trial, Mr Mohamad described how he conducted the autopsy. “The overall findings showed congestion of the organs and swelling of the lungs. Part of the brain, liver and spleen were also damaged in the attack,” he said.

He also said that the weight of Kim’s right liver had increased to 690 grams, higher than the average liver of an adult. From the examination, Mr. Mohamad concluded that Mr. Kim “died due to VX poisoning.”

Previously, on October 2, on the first day of the trial at the Sham Alam High Court, on the outskirts of Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur, two female defendants pleaded not guilty to the murder of North Korean citizen Kim Jong-Nam./.
