Lightning-fast appointment in Thanh Hoa: Proposing the Central Inspection Committee to take action

Former Head of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, Le Khac Bieu, requested the Central Inspection Committee to intervene to strictly discipline organizations and individuals involved in violations in the appointment of Ms. Tran Vu Quynh Anh.

Last week, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced the results of the inspection and disciplinary action against the Party organization and Party members involved in the appointment of Ms. Tran Vu Quynh Anh, former Head of the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management, Department of Construction.

Former Director of the Department of Construction Ngo Van Tuan, current Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, was disciplined with a reprimand for violations in the recruitment and appointment of Ms. Tran Vu Quynh Anh.

In addition, by December 31, 2015, the Department of Construction had appointed 6 redundant deputy heads of professional departments and appointed 45 cases that did not meet the standards.

Proposing the Central Inspection Commission to intervene

Speaking with VietNamNet, Mr. Le Khac Bieu, former Deputy Head of the Department of Personnel Management of Delta Provinces, former Head of the Organization Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, said that with a series of violations committed by Mr. Ngo Van Tuan, only being disciplined with a reprimand is problematic.

Mr. Bieu explained that the case of the Department of Construction has been controversial since last year, but it was not until this year that the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee reported the results, which is irresponsible.

The former Head of the Organizing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee said: “Not only is it irresponsible, I think there is a delicate reason that only the Provincial Party Committee knows. The Central Committee has Resolution 4 against ideological and moral degradation of party members. Thanh Hoa's inspection and discipline of the collective and individuals related to the hasty appointment of Ms. Tran Vu Quynh Anh is unserious and irresponsible.

The disciplinary action of reprimand, in my opinion, is a cover-up.

“There has only been an announcement from the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission. The Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Committee need to review and handle this seriously. Thereby, we request the Central Inspection Commission to direct and intervene to strictly discipline the organizations and individuals involved,” Mr. Bieu said.
