Who are the 2 Vietnamese billionaires on the list of the richest people in the world?

Two Vietnamese billionaires, Pham Nhat Vuong and Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, have just entered Forbes' list of the world's richest people.

Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong and Vietjet Air General Director Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao have just been honored by prestigious magazine Forbes in the Top richest USD billionaires on the planet.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao are the only two Vietnamese billionaires named in the billionaire list announced by Forbes on October 5, 2017.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong is currently ranked 867th in Forbes' list of the world's richest billionaires.

According to Forbes, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's current assets (as of October 5, 2017) are 2.9 billion USD, of which net assets as of March 2017 reached 2.4 billion USD.

Mr. Vuong is the founder and Chairman of Vingroup Corporation - one of the largest corporations in Vietnam today. According to Forbes, Mr. Vuong's assets are mainly derived from real estate, retail, logistics, agriculture, education and healthcare.

Forbes also listed Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao in the list of the world's super-rich billionaires. Ms. Thao is the founder and Chairwoman of Sovico Holdings, with assets as of October 5, 2017 reaching 1.81 billion USD, of which net assets were worth about 1.2 billion USD as of March 2017.

In Forbes' list of the richest billionaires on the planet, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao ranked 1678th.

According to this prestigious magazine, Ms. Thao is a self-made billionaire, who became rich through the airline, banking and real estate businesses.
