Bus hits 2 grandparents and grandchild, 3 year old girl dies

He was riding his bicycle with his grandchild when he was hit by a bus. The accident killed the 3-year-old child on the spot and he was seriously injured and hospitalized.

The tragic traffic accident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. on October 6, on an inter-commune road in village 2, Cu Yang commune, Ea Kar district, Dak Lak province.

The deceased child was identified as Ban Thi Tuyen (3 years old) and the injured grandfather was Ban Thanh Binh (63 years old, residing in village 4, Cu Yang commune, Ea Kar district).

That same afternoon, Mr. Binh took Tuyen by bicycle to a relative's house in village 2, Cu Yang commune to play. At around 5:30 p.m., when both grandfather and grandchild had just left the house, they were hit by a bus with license plate 79B-012.45, driven by Dong Van Tuan (30 years old, residing in village 8, Ea Kly commune, Krong Pak district).

The strong collision caused the grandfather and grandchild to fall onto the road. Huyen hit her head on the ground and died on the spot. Mr. Binh was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized.

Upon receiving the news, Ea Kar District Police were present to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
