Putting into use the first steel-hulled fishing logistics ship in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 7, at Lach Van fishing port in Dien Chau district (Nghe An), a steel-hulled ship specializing in providing fishing logistics services at sea was handed over to Mr. Ngo Tri Dong, a fisherman in Dien Ngoc commune.

The ship has a capacity of 828 horsepower, a load capacity of less than 35 tons, and is fully equipped with modern information, positioning, and warning equipment. The total capital source is nearly 24 billion VND, of which the loan capital according to Decree 67 of the Government is 21 billion VND approved by Dien Chau Agricultural Bank Branch; the investor's counterpart capital is over 3 billion VND.
The ship's main function is to provide logistics services for fishing at sea, such as supplying oil, necessities, drinking water, ice, purchasing seafood or transporting it to shore for hundreds of passenger boats operating at sea. In addition, the ship is also equipped to carry out purse seine fishing - a new and highly effective fishing method.

Up to now, Nghe An has approved the construction of 5 fishing logistics vessels according to Decree 67. The steel-hulled vessel Phu Nguyen - 126 is the first fishing logistics vessel in the province to be put into operation.
