Tropical depression appears near the East Sea, rough seas
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of the tropical low pressure circulation, the eastern sea area of the North and the middle of the East Sea from this morning (October 8) will have showers and thunderstorms, with winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 8.
At 01:00 on October 8, the center of the tropical depression was at about 15.9 degrees North latitude; 122.0 degrees East longitude, in the sea east of Luzon Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6 (40-50km/h), gusting to level 8.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move mainly in a westerly direction, traveling about 25km per hour. At 01:00 on October 9, the center of the tropical depression will be at about 16.2 degrees North latitude; 116.2 degrees East longitude, about 390km East Southeast of Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6 (40-50km/hour), gusting to level 8.
In the next 24 hours, the dangerous area (strong wind level 6 or higher) is from latitude 13.5 to 18.5 degrees North latitude; east of longitude 113 degrees East longitude.
