Voters of Do Luong district: 'Propose to allow village officials to pay social insurance'

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 9, National Assembly deputies Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department continued the program of meeting voters before the 4th session in Giang Son Dong commune, Do Luong district.

Inform voters of the expected content and agenda of the 4th session of the National Assembly. At the session, the National Assembly will discuss and approve 6 draft laws and give initial opinions on 9 draft laws along with many other important contents.

At the conference, many voters from 4 communes of Do Luong district expressed their opinions related to the construction of rural road systems, inadequacies in management and quality of power grid infrastructure, difficulties in consuming agricultural products, etc.

Voter Mai Thi Lien expressed her joy that schools in Giang Son Dong commune have been invested in and built to meet teaching requirements; proposed to maintain the retirement age according to current regulations and increase salaries for retired teachers; and to stipulate policies for foster teachers. Voter Lien also reflected on the shortage of preschool teachers in the commune; proposed to allow village secretaries to pay social insurance.

Voter Cam of Giang Son Dong commune raised the difficulties in production and livestock raising of the people, the price of agricultural products dropped; the team of village cadres received insurance; proposed to consider recognizing martyrs for those who were wrongly convicted in the two revolutions against France and the US; invested in repairing the irrigation dam system serving agriculture; environmental pollution and indiscriminate use of pesticides still occurred.

Voter Ho Xuan Hao of Giang Son Tay commune raised concerns about the settlement of housing policies for meritorious people and frontline workers; the Lam Son - Giang Son road system is seriously degraded due to the large number of overloaded vehicles; and land disputes related to Do Luong Forestry Company in Giang Son Tay commune.

At the conference, voters' recommendations related to the jurisdiction of the district and commune levels were specifically answered by representatives of Giang Son Dong commune leaders and Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam - Chairman of Do Luong District People's Committee. Representatives of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also answered concerns of voters of 4 communes about policies for people with revolutionary contributions.

Mr. Bui Tram - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade also answered voters' opinions related to the deterioration of the grid infrastructure system and shortcomings in electricity management. Mr. Tram said that the Electricity industry has invested more than 1,800 billion VND to upgrade the grid infrastructure. Regarding the proposal to transfer the right to manage electricity use from a locality to that locality, Mr. Bui Tram said that the Electricity industry manages by power lines, not by administrative boundaries. However, the transfer will be studied and implemented in the near future.

At the conference, delegate Nguyen Huu Cau suggested that the commune and district authorities pay more attention to solving the problems that people have proposed and the things that have been promised to the people of the four communes of Giang Son Dong, Giang Son Tay, Hong Son and Boi Son, such as building new rural areas, environmental sanitation... The Director of the Provincial Police Department said that the whole Nghe An province currently has nearly 27,000 people eligible for housing support for people with meritorious services, while 1,082 people have received it. In the 2018 budget allocation, the provincial National Assembly delegates will recommend that the Government pay attention to allocating funds to Nghe An province to promptly resolve this issue.

Regarding some opinions related to the authority of National Assembly deputies to resolve, deputy Nguyen Huu Cau promised to accept them and submit them to relevant levels and sectors.
