Coach Park Hang-seo will be in Hanoi this afternoon to watch the match between Vietnam and Cambodia in the 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers. A day later, he will also have a media presentation as head coach of the Vietnamese national teams.

According to the plan, the first match Mr. Park Hang-seo leads the Vietnam National Team is against Afghanistan on November 14 in the 5th round of the 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers. If they win that match (plus a favorable result against Cambodia tonight), Vietnam will certainly get a ticket to the Asian Cup finals in 2 years.

Regarding the U23 Vietnam team, from December 9 to 15, the young players will also participate in the M150 International Friendly Tournament in Thailand. In the first match with the U23 Vietnam team, the Korean coach will face his rival U23 Thailand (7:00 p.m. on December 9). Two days later, U23 Vietnam will continue to meet another opponent in the same group B as them, U23 Myanmar.

Meanwhile, in Group A, U23 Japan will compete with U23 Uzbekistan and U23 DPRK. The teams in the group will compete in a round robin to determine rankings. The two second-placed teams in each group will meet to compete for third place. The two group winners will enter the final match to compete for the championship, with a prize of 20,000 USD (about 450 million VND). This international friendly tournament is a chance for the U23 teams (including Vietnam) to prepare for the 2018 AFC U23 Championship in China a month later.

The match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Thailand is expected to take place at I-mobile Stadium of Buriram Club.
