Meanwhile, the 2.4 AT 4x4 is still the cheapest model in the stable, priced at MYR 169,800 (around VND 912 million).

Changes for 2018 are fairly minor, with LED front fog lights on the 2.4 VRZ and 2.7 SRZ models, and the addition of standard disc brakes on all versions.

Disc brakes are now standard on all 2018 Fortuner models.

With the new versions, the 2.4 VRZ 4x2 and 4x4 models are quite similar to the 2.7 SRZ in terms of specifications, so it is not surprising that the price offered is higher than the petrol model.

The kit includes automatic bi-LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, door lights, remote start, push-button start, a 4.2-inch multi-color display, automatic climate control, cruise control, brown leather upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a power tailgate and a DVD-AVX entertainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen and six speakers. The SRZ 2.7 has the advantage of a navigation system.

In terms of safety, the 2.4 VRZ models get the same seven airbags as the 2.7 SRZ (including a driver's knee airbag), along with a host of safety features. The base 2.4 model gets three airbags and no stability control.
