'The model of 2 Vice Chairmen of District People's Councils should not be implemented'

Working in Do Luong district, the Local Department of the Central Organizing Committee learned about the results of socio-economic development and the model of secretary and hamlet chief.

In terms of economy, in the first 9 months of 2017, the total production value of Do Luong district is estimated to reach nearly 9,000 billion, an increase of 16% compared to the previous year. Investment attraction achieved high results, the district People's Committee approved many large projects, the work of building new rural areas was focused on by the Party Committee, government and people.

Regarding the results of implementing the model of Secretary cum Hamlet Chief, Do Luong district has implemented it for many terms, in which the Party cells directly under the Party Committees of communes and towns have 474 Party cells. In the 2017-2020 term, Do Luong has 264/367 Secretary cum Hamlet Chief, accounting for 72%. The implementation of the model of Secretary cum Hamlet Chief contributes to enhancing the leadership role of the Party in implementing the policies of the higher levels into life. Up to now, 98% of district-level departments and offices have from 1 to 2 deputies, with only 2 units having 3 deputies.
