At 10:00 a.m. on October 12, Ky Son District Medical Center received and treated patient Nguyen Tat Binh, 47 years old - Thuong Son - Do Luong - Nghe An in critical condition. The cause of the condition was determined to be that patient Nguyen Tat Binh fell from a roof about 10 meters high to the ground.

The patient was admitted to the Emergency Resuscitation Department, where the Center's doctors performed intensive resuscitation and immediately consulted with the initial diagnosis of multiple trauma shock; closed abdominal trauma with suspected splenic rupture, closed chest trauma with hemothorax - left pneumothorax, bleeding from the left ear, and monitoring for traumatic brain injury...

The patient's condition was critical and there was no time to transfer to a higher level. The surgical team of the Medical Center performed emergency surgery, placed a left pleural drain and removed more than 2 liters of blood and 200 grams of blood clots. Upon examination, the spleen was found to have a severed pedicle and a ruptured mid-pole. The doctors controlled the splenic pedicle and removed the entire spleen.

After emergency surgery, on the morning of October 13, patient Nguyen Tat Binh's health condition was stable. Ky Son Medical Center transferred patient Binh to the Provincial General Hospital for further monitoring and treatment.

This is a rare case, beyond the capacity of a district-level medical center, especially for a mountainous district like Ky Son. However, with a sense of responsibility and professional confidence, the doctors and nurses of Ky Son Medical Center saved the patient's life./.
