4 young men were prosecuted for gambling on cards

(Baonghean.vn)- The authorities caught 4 people red-handed gambling with cards. Nearly 10 million VND worth of evidence was seized. Two of the people had previous convictions for gambling and illegal drug use.

On October 16, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency announced that the unit had issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the following defendants: Nguyen Nhan Manh (born in 1999), residing in Khanh Thinh hamlet, Nghi Khanh commune; Phan Cong Duc Luong (born in 1998), residing in Benh Vien hamlet, Nghi Truong commune, Nghi Loc district; Le Van Quy (born in 1998); Nguyen Minh Tu (born in 1984), both residing in Hieu Hap block, Nghi Thu ward, Cua Lo town, for gambling.

Previously, at 10:00 p.m. on October 9, the working group of the Criminal - Economic - Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Nghi Loc District Police coordinated with Nghi Khanh Commune Police to patrol Khanh Thinh hamlet and discovered many people gambling for money at Nguyen Nhan Manh's house.

The authorities raided and caught four suspects: Nguyen Nhan Manh, Le Van Quy, Nguyen Minh Tu and Phan Cong Duc Luong gambling with each other by playing cards. The seized evidence included 9.73 million VND and a deck of cards. Notably, Nguyen Nhan Manh had a criminal record for gambling; Phan Cong Duc Luong had a criminal record for illegal drug use. The case is under further investigation.
