Landslide on Dao River bank in Do Luong

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 16, a landslide occurred on the bank of the Dao River through Dong Son commune, Do Luong district (Nghe An).

Dong Son commune residents said: The day before, there was a phenomenon of water flowing from the edge of the canal, and by the afternoon of October 16, the riverbank had eroded. The erosion caused the road surface to sink 1 meter, causing cracks in many places; some places had cracks of 70cm.

The landslide is located in Hamlet 7, Dong Son Commune, 500m from Bara Bridge and 400m from Mu Ba Bridge. The landslide is nearly 100m long and nearly 30m deep. The estimated volume of landslide is 300m3.3.

Immediately after the incident, Do Luong district leaders went down to inspect, reported to authorities, and directed Dong Son commune to take protective measures and not let people enter the dangerous area.

Currently, Do Luong district is coordinating with relevant agencies to handle the situation promptly.
