The Commune Youth Union Secretary returned nearly 500 million VND worth of property to the person who left it behind.

(Baonghean.vn)- Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong - Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district returned nearly 500 million VND worth of assets to a gemstone trader in Hanoi City.

On the morning of October 19, 2017, the Standing Committee of Nghi Loc District Youth Union received information from a gemstone trader in Hanoi City, Mr. T. (name withheld) about his return of nearly 500 million VND worth of property that he had left behind at the restaurant of Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong and her husband - Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District.

Mr. T. said that at around 3:30 p.m. on September 27, on his way from Da Nang to Hanoi, he stopped to eat at Vinh Phuong restaurant on National Highway 1A, passing through Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district.

After finishing his meal, Mr. T. continued on his way. When he reached Tam Diep town (Ninh Binh), about 170km from Vinh Phuong restaurant, Mr. T. suddenly remembered that he had forgotten his bag. Immediately, he and his friend turned back to search at the places where he stopped the car.

At around 10pm the same day, he went to Vinh Phuong restaurant. After asking and getting confirmation from his family, he received back all the property he had previously left at the restaurant.

The property that Mr. T. left behind at the restaurant included 2 gemstones, 38 million VND in cash, 1 mobile phone and many other personal documents. The total value of the property was nearly 500 million VND.

Vinh Phuong Restaurant is owned by Mr. Mai Ngoc Vinh and Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong. Ms. Phuong is currently the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District, term 2017 - 2022.
