Conflict while drinking, used knife to stab close friend to death

On October 19, Thu Duc District Police are detaining Nguyen Nam (34 years old, from Quang Ngai) to investigate the act of "murder".

At about 3:00 p.m. the same day, Nam and Chien and a group of friends were drinking at a restaurant inside the Thu Duc Agricultural Wholesale Market area (Tam Binh Ward, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City).

Police force examines the scene

While drinking, Chien and Nam had an argument. After being stopped by his friends, Chien climbed into the cabin of the tractor trailer and slept.

Feeling frustrated about the conflict at the drinking table, Nam took a knife more than 30cm long and went to find Chien to ask for the reason. When they reached the car cabin, the two continued to argue, Nam used the knife to stab Chien once. Chien held his wound and ran away for about 15m before collapsing to the ground.

Nam was brought to the scene to complete the investigation.

Chien was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but due to the severity of his injuries, he did not survive. Nam tried to escape but knowing he could not escape, he surrendered himself to the Tam Binh Ward Police Station.

Thu Duc District Police conducted an investigation at the scene to handle the case. It is known that Nam and Chien are both drivers transporting goods at Thu Duc Agricultural Wholesale Market, and the two are quite close./.
