Former nurse defrauded dozens of people, embezzling over 3 billion VND

On October 20, the Investigation Police Department of Hoa Binh Province announced that the unit, in coordination with the Criminal Investigation Department, successfully arrested and escorted Nguyen Thi Tang (59 years old, permanent residence in Dong Tien Ward, Hoa Binh City), a wanted subject hiding in Long Binh Tan Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province.

Previously, on September 14, 2017, the Investigation Police Department of Hoa Binh Province issued a special wanted notice for Nguyen Thi Tang for the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

According to initial investigation, Nguyen Thi Tang, a retired nurse, claimed to have many connections that could help her get a civil servant job at agencies in the province and other localities.

Nguyen Thi Tang confessed to her crime at the police station.

From the beginning of 2012 to the end of 2016, the former nurse received more than 3 billion VND from more than 30 victims, with the promise of finding jobs, but after the commitment period expired, she still could not fulfill it.

Tang then fled his residence. The case is being investigated and handled by the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department in accordance with the law.
